Letter H | Hat & Hippo + Giveaway

Sunday, April 24, 2016

Summer is 44.5 months old.

It's been awhile since I shared our letter of the week preschool activities.  We came to a point where while Summer was still enjoying the activities, I needed a major overhaul of how our weeks were organized.  I talked briefly about how I initially prepared for the year here and while that helped greatly, circumstances changed and I found myself wanting a more streamlined system.  I am currently *experimenting* with several ideas and hope to find something that works best for us that I can share in more detail soon.

A look at our set-up...

A closer look at a few of her activities for the week...

Our themes and the majority of our activities are from Bitty Beginnings on Etsy, you can use code SPRING2016 to save 20% off from now through the end of April.

Summer worked on two part letter puzzle matching...

Uppercase and lowercase shadow match puzzles...

She loves the letter hunt. I use painter's tape to hide the letters around the room for her to locate.

She's so close to being able to do her letter crown completely on her own. I help with the trickier zig zag cutting portion and shapes, but otherwise she wants to do it herself.

For her letter craft, we used paint to make hippo footprints.

Kaitlyn even joined in for a sensory look and find with lentils.

I am also using bits and pieces of Animal ABC's from 1+1+1=1. This week, we worked on number and shape identification and tracing.

We played BINGO and reviewed colors and shapes.

Put together a puzzle...

She LOVED LOVED LOVED this animal letter train puzzle!

Made a hippo...

Spent the afternoon playing with this safari truck...

Playing with playdough...

And, took a nature hunt walk. I found these adorable printables and they were perfect!

And, now for the Giveaway!
