K4- Home Art Studio: Lesson 1 and Outdoor Fun!

Friday, April 12, 2013

This past week has been hit and miss for several reasons, but we managed to get several things accomplished and enjoy some beautiful weather outdoors.  We took a break from our weekly Raising Rock Stars and You Can Read activities, but I plan to resume those next week.

You can learn more about the K4 Curriculum here, which we are currently using as our base.
Abby got these word building cards as an Easter gift and really enjoyed building and sounding out words.

She loved using a tape measure to find the length and height of various items.  Plus, it's helpful with number identification practice.

She worked on several number of the week pages, like this tracing page.

Abby loved her first art project from Home Art Studio

 Playtime Fun!

Summer began climbing this week on everything from couches to ottomans!  While she has better luck using items as a step to get where she wants to be, she is very determined to achieve her goal without assistance.

We also took advantage of some beautiful Spring days and enjoyed some warm sunshine.

  1. I love the K4 Curriculum! Actually, I love all of the stuff from Confessions of a homeschooler :) I like to put the worksheets in page protectors & use dry erase markers so we can use them again & again! :) It looks like your kiddos are pretty close in age to mine (4 years,2.5 years, and 8 months)
