K4- RRSK: Letter K, YCR: Unit 15 and Easter Sight Word Fun

Tuesday, March 26, 2013

We are on Week 11 of  the 34 week K4 program and I've been happy with it for the most part.  Each week, we work on a number, letter, shape, word family, set of sight words, math, handwriting practice, reading, vowel/word blending and more.  Much of what we've touched on so far has been review and I feel that has been beneficial for Abby. She has also learned several new ideas like word families and word blending up to this point.  However, she does fly through some of the activities rather quickly and I supplement to keep her engaged.  But in the coming weeks, she will begin learning new concepts (especially math) that we've briefly touched on and I'm looking forward to seeing her progress.

You can learn more about the K4 Curriculum here, which we are currently using as our base.

Abby loves filling in the missing number.

We worked on numbers 40-50 this week.
Abby loved our Sight Word Easter Egg Hunt!

Summer turned 8 months old this week and is becoming quite brave in her quest to move around.
