K4- RRSK: Letter H and You Can Read: Unit 12

Saturday, March 02, 2013

I was hoping to take a week off from doing school, but Abby decided she didn't want a break.  Luckily, I had our basic activities ready to go and she worked independently for the most part.   Here's what I happened to capture from her week.   RRRSK header copy
We are essentially picking up where Raising Rock Stars Preschool left off with Raising Rock Stars Kindergarten. We are reviewing the Bible verses she learned before, but using more challenging activities.
We do two activities per day from this program, making 10 total per week.
Tracing is one of those activities that I have to observe. If not, Abby tends to rush through it and ends up having to redo it 2 or 3 times depending on her mood.

Following directions…

You can learn more about the K4 Curriculum here, which we are currently using as our base.  We used stickers to practice 1:1 counting from 1 to 20.

And, Summer decided to help Abby out a bit.

And, reviewed colors by sorting with this paintbrush activity.

She colored by sight word.
Cutting, pasting and spelling her sight words...
We received our Abeka Little Owl Books in the mail this week and Abby LOVES them!
Summer turned 7 months old this week and began getting her fourth tooth.
While she is pretty active like her sister, every once in a while, I’ll catch her like this.

And, she loves Abby feeding her.  Plus, it helps me out at the same time!
