Preschool Corner- RRSP: Letter U and Halloween Fun!

Abby is 4 years old and Summer is 3 months old.

I'm a little behind on my blogging updates, as usual, so I'll just combine the past two weeks into one.

Color: Yellow
Sight Word: we
Number: 21
Bible Verse: Unto thee, oh God, do we give thanks.
I can't believe we are almost done with this program!  We are still on pace to finish the last week of November.  Then, I plan on taking December off and have a casual theme each week for Abby to do giving us a chance to relax and enjoy the Christmas season.  And, I'm hoping to use that time to finalize where she goes from here and I'm pretty excited about that.
Abby loves to trace...
And recently, she has taken interest in drawing her own things.

She's been independently working through a variety of workbooks we've accumulated along the years such as: cutting, tracing, numbers, connect the dots and preschool review.  Many times, she works on this while I'm busy doing other things so I haven't captured her in action.
We did work on several Autumn themed resources from Homeschool Creations like this Connect the Dot acorn.

She also dot painted this pumpkin, but I can not remember where I found it.

One of the many things I love about being able to stay home with my kids is catching moments like these...

Summer recently turned 3 months old and has become quite vocal.  She prefers to kick at her toys hanging from her playmat and then talk to them.

She's also begun sitting up by herself in short spurts, around 15 seconds, usually while I'm changing her clothes.  Abby thinks it's fun to watch when she finally loses her balance and "timbers" into my arms. :-)

And, she's discovered her thumb....generally only when she's tired.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Abby decided this year she wanted to be a bat and while she wanted Summer to be a wolf (???) we decided on a cupcake instead.

We trick or treated, visiting a few family members, then enjoyed a chilly night at our church's annual Autumnfest.  She had a blast!
