Sensory Bin Introduction

Wednesday, September 07, 2011

Today, I added something new to our day..a sensory bin.  Thanks to my Mom and Dad, we were furnished with loads of different kinds of pasta.  In one of Abby's extra workboxes, I mixed penne, egg noodles, elbow macaroni and brown rice..packed with things that started with A and B..mostly B and put it out on the table while I prepared Abby's workboxes.  She was acting as a pirate looking for hidden treasure, but it kept her occupied for quite sometime.

We are reviewing Bible stories this week, so we read about Creation and talked about the animals because that's her favorite part, of course.

Then, drew a Venn diagram to compare two different bears.  We looked at their size, fur, eyes, paws, color.

She worked an alphabet puzzle...

Used clothspins to match the number with the correct picture...she LOVED this...

Completed a shape puzzle...

Read Corduroy and made our own version of him..

Played with her lacing beads and her do-a-dot bear...

And, worked on a top secret project.
